Most houses in Dinner Plain are a minimum of 2 storey high, in response to the small lot sizes. Double storey height allows for acceptable exposure area to North sun, which is a valuable asset in Alpine climates. Because there is no risk of being built-out on this site, living areas are on level 1, giving access to a ground level deck. All bedrooms are on level 2.
